did Jesus pick-up the cross or the sword?
did Jesus force the Kingdom of God or die for it?
did Jesus suffer in vain so that we can go kill in the name of justice?
Jesus did not come to establish a political kingdom, nor did he come to give more laws to govern political systems. Jesus did not come and "entrust the secret things of God" to politicians, kings, and religious rulers. no, instead, he went to those who had no power, the laymen, the nominal population.
the kingdom we serve has no borders, no nationality, no color, and no flag.
bin laden and his regime killed 5,000+ in the twin tower/pentagon attack. george bush and his regime have killed, according to america, 30,000+, according to britain, 50,000+ and according to other research, upwards of 75,000+.
bin laden 5,000+; bush 30,000 - 75,000.
violence only begets violence. let's stop supporting nationalistic ideology and start proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
i typed in christian values in wikipedia and found their result very interesting.

bin laden's killed a lot more than just the twin tower attacks. he's behind al qaeda that runs terrorist attacks as much as they can.
and who is this addressed to?
This post--particularly this line, "the kingdom we serve has no borders, no nationality, no color, and no flag,"--reminds me of the _Switchfoot_ song, "Politicians."
Here are the lyrics:
"/Everything is broken, everything is broken
Everything is breaking down, breaking down
Everything is bleeding, everything is bleeding
Everything is breaking down, breaking down
I pledge allegiance to a country without borders, without politicians
Watching for my sky to get torn apart
We are broken, we are bitter
We're the problem, we're the politicians
Watching for our sky to get torn apart
Come on and break me
Entropy and aching, where have we been aiming
Everything is fading out, fading out
We are the faded, splintered and sedated
Everything is fading out, fading out
I pledge allegiance to a country without borders, without politicians.../"--Track #8 off The _Nothing Is Sound_ (2005) album
I love _Switchfoot_...
(Although, I will toss the wrench mentioning that GOD _does_ "favor" a particular nation--she's known as, "Israel...")

And so when did the Bush administration become a "regime" and why did you choose to use that term?
jr – i consider any military campaign, whether governmental or not, that uses violence as a means to an end, as a “regime.” i realize that the word “regime” has negative underpinnings and is usually associated with fascist dictators and totalitarian states, but “regime,” in the more general sense of the word, is defined as a ruling or prevailing system. by this definition, america’s military occupation in iraq, as well as many other military campaigns in the 20th century, represent a “regime” more than fundamentalist muslim minorities running through the hills of persia. i am not attempting to nullify the atrocities committed by al qaeda and other terrorist regimes, but, in light of my previous argument on your blog (http://rhetorically.blogspot.com/), i am trying to bridge the gap between “just” and “un-just” violence. from the perspective of the church, as prescribed in the bible, violence should be rejected at every junction; even in defense of "justice" (as the bush administration claims is doing in iraq).
rachel are you dispensational :)
Honestly, Brian, I'm not sure.
I'd have to do some deeper research and pray about it more.
Typically, I try to stay away from labels, titles, and the like ["Baptists," "Protestant," "Methodist," "Vegetarian," "Fruitist;o)," etc...], yet I understand and am aware that your question seeks more to ascertain of what "camp" am I when it comes to the Jews, the Church, and our collective history and future than anything else.
Perhaps I hover between supersessionism and dispensationalism--or am some sort of "hybrid" of the two ideologies. /shrug/ [Ahh...so very many, complicated terms...]
I feel GOD has mad love for the Jewish/Hebrew people and every time I even think about Jews and Israel, love utterly *rushes* to my heart, filling it to fullness, as if I had just thought of my precious beau or something. I'm like, "Wow. I _love_ Israel..." Why does that happpen? I sure don't know. That's simply GOD. Thus I suppose that since GOD loves me so much and has caused me to love _Him_ so much, His Love for Israel also manifests within my heart and simply _has_ to mean _something_ [I mean, after all, He chose that nation to which to affiliate even Himself when Incarnate!] So...
Yet, I *STRONGLY* adhere to the notion that, as is taught and relayed in Romans 9 and Ephesians 2, we Gentiles [I guess not you, Rosenberg;o)] are grafted into Israel, and thus, with the Jews are also, in effect, "Jewish."
[Praise You, Jesus...]
So...how's that?;o)
Heart and miss ya, Bro Brian.
Please take care and God Bless:o)
Love,
Racheal
"They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen."--Romans 9:4-5
